7th Annual New York Tennis Tournament

Serving to Save Babies' Lives , Brooklyn, New York

On Saturday, May 6th, R Baby hosted the 7th Annual New York Tennis Tournament: Serving To Save Babies’ Lives, at MatchPoint NYC in Brooklyn, New York.

Twenty-four teams participated in a competitive day of tennis with a lively Calcutta Auction raising $250,000. To date, this highly anticipated event has raised over $1.75 million to improve the pediatric emergency care of babies and children throughout the northeast.  The event showcased R Baby’s collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital and the launch of the pediatric version of findERnow, a mobile app that allows parents to quickly locate ERs that are more likely to be prepared to treat children. findERnow is available for download on the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

Congratulations to tournament winners Rob Pohly and Marc Powers who ultimately triumphed in the finals against finalists Tim Main and Ryan Thacher. Other Semi Final Teams included Jeffrey Appel and Dan Cochrane and Jeremy Mindich and Adrian Contreras.

Thank you to our generous sponsors TD Bank, Bloomberg and ACA Technology.

And thank you to our partners for adding special touches making the day special for players: MatchPoint NYC, Madison Square Wellness, Made Good and Flapjacked.

We are especially grateful to 2016 R Baby Star Jason Pinsky who has chaired the New York Tennis Tournament for seven years making it one of R Baby’s most anticipated events.
